Creating ZIP Code Groups
ZIP Code Groups allow you to organize multiple ZIP codes into a single scheduling territory that can later be assigned to a time slot and technician.
- Navigate to Settings.
- Select Time Slots.
- Under Postal Code Grouping, click Add.
- Enter a name for the ZIP Code Group.
- Enter a description for the group if desired. Examples might include North, South, East, or West.
- Select all ZIP codes that should be included in the group.
- Click Save.
- Repeat this process for any additional ZIP Code Groups you wish to create.
- Once all groups have been created, click Sync to update the scheduling settings.
- Refresh the page to load the updated ZIP Code Groups.
Using ZIP Code Groups for Scheduling
After creating a ZIP Code Group, you must assign it to a time slot and then make the appropriate technician available for that time slot.
Create a Time Slot
- Navigate to Time Slot Configuration.
- Select the day you want to edit.
- Click Add to create a new time slot.
- Enter a name for the time slot.
- Select the appointment types that should be available within the time slot.
- If desired, select the option to use the start and end times as the time slot name.
- Select the ZIP Code Group that should be available for scheduling during this time slot.
- Select Activate Time Slot.
- Click Save.
- Click Confirm.
Assign the Time Slot to a Technician
- Navigate to Users.
- Select the technician who will service appointments within the ZIP Code Group.
- Open the technician's Schedule tab.
- Click Edit.
- Select the day you want to modify.
- Select the time slot to be assigned to the technician.
- Click Edit.
- Select Yes when prompted.
- Select the ZIP Code Group that should be available to the technician during that time slot.
- Click Save.
- Click Save again to finalize the schedule changes.
